Further contributing to this punchy aesthetic, the terminals subtly expand, shifting away from the geometrically pure round forms of the regular Modern Gothic and towards a more condensed, oval-like shape. The family is versatile yet concise, offered in Medium, Bold, and Black weights, each with a matching italic.

Historical models, from lesser-known sources like Modern Gothic Condensed¹ to celebrated classics such as Franklin Gothic², provided robust source material and historical guidance for Modern Gothic Poster. Their influence helped transition American identity into the sans serif landscape of the 20th century, cementing features like the double-story g as a quintessential American gesture. Modern Gothic Poster carries this feature forward with its own cut-specific version, reinforcing an enduring typographic legacy.

Although Modern Gothic Poster may be the loudest of the bunch it doesn’t overshadow the rest of its family. The weights and proportions have been carefully balanced to allow for a harmonious combination with its Standard and Mono siblings.
